I got the go ahead from a client to make a giant mosquito yesterday. It'll be around 30'' high and wide, made of copper tubing. I made a herron in the same style last year, here a couple of pics of it. (Click on a pic to see it bigger)
As for the mosquito, I'll be showing the progress here in this blog in the near future.

An Applause Sign
Made this piece for a group show at LAMP Art Gallery in the fall of 2006. It's around 5 ft. long with eight 20wt. bulbs (one behind each letter). Bought by a private collector in Indianapolis (I've lost track of exactly who, bummer).
I've always thought applause signs were so strange, funny even. It's a cue to tell an audience in a studio when to clap, so that viewers at home will know what they should be appreciating. Wierd.
