You Like To See My Etchings?

I probably have some adjustments on this still, any comments? Too Dark? Are the characters clear? It's not too late!

Pot-Head Meat

Every time I would pass this item in the supermarket, it made me cringe. Just doesn't sound good to me. Also, it's an obvious pun for my kind of work.

Clipper Terrier.

Probably won't be the finished image. On second thought, I KNOW it won't be, but I thought I should post something, so consider this a "ruff" version.

And yes, that's a toenail.

The Heartwarming Story of a Boy and His Dog (Not)

Does anyone recognize these sort of characters? In my city, there are many neighborhoods filled with them. If you were to cross the street everytime you saw them coming, you'd spend most of your day dodging traffic.

Rocket Love

I was asked recently to illustrate the subject of that crazy astronaut love triangle for a website called Manimalia. I read an interview with an illustrator recently, and what he said made a lot of sense as far as my efforts with this one. The illustrator said the more mundane the subject, the easier it is to come up with a really good illustration. This whole crazy story about a woman astronaut scorned, then driving across country in a diaper, is so nutty that it was hard to match it in ridicuallity (if that's a word).

Anyway, here it is.

She's So Refreshing!

I had a nice blog visitor interested in the wire mouth (from a previous post), but I left it back in Florida where I made it while on vacation (not a very easy carry-0n). So I told her I would make another with a little added something. I found this mint tin, and made it part of the piece. She's really "hot" so the tongue makes "cartoon" sense, and you also put mints on your tongue, right? I thought it worked.

Bad Seasoning

Two different angles, which one do you like? Comments?

Thanks,
