I don't often do "recommended reading" posts (though I love when other bloggers do them!), but I'm making an exception today so that I can gush about the gals of Interrobangs Anonymous. For those of you who haven't found IA before, it's a blog founded and run by four lovely ladies. Sarah is quite literally trying to save the world, Millie is most definitely my long-lost hair twin, Chelsie regularly stuns me with her home-sewn skirts, dresses, and peplos (plural?), and I'm fairly sure that Katie and I are best friends. So while I was in Colorado last week, I knew I wanted to try to meet up with Katie and her beau, the Rocket Scientist. The two of them and Joe and I managed to meet for breakfast on our last morning in CO, and it was phenomenal (and delicious!). We talked blogs, friends, bizarre real-life connections, future plans, and embarrassing last names (I'll never tell...), and I spent the rest of the afternoon trying to convince Joe that moving to Colorado wouldn't throw too much of a wrench in our lives.
Oh, and then Katie gave me this incredible necklace, made from the absolute coolest dinosaur charm I've ever seen (bought at an estate sale, how awesome!). She actually made the necklace, which makes it that much more awesome. I plan on wearing this bad boy all the flipping time. And I just had to get some awesome pictures of it in the Denver airport while we were waiting for our flight. DIA has awesome fossils and dino impressions in the floors, so I took a few snaps of my little guy schmoozing with the big guns. Thank you, Katie! I am absolutely smitten with it!
Another airport-related highlight was getting a picture of one of the many birds that live in the Denver airport. It's weird, but I kind of love that every time I'm there I see at least a few little birds. We saw at least 5 just on that one trip. Probably not the most sanitary, but they add a bit of cuteness and humor to the airport (and let's face it, most airports could use a bit more cuteness).
