How I wore it first:
I Will Stroll the Merry Way
This is most definitely a liberal interpretation of the original incarnation of this outfit. I kept true to the colors, for the most part, and the "romantic" feel of the outfit, but the only actual element that was retained was the Forever 21 flower ring. Honestly, it was one of those days where I liked the outfit in theory (and in pictures, actually) but just felt uncomfortable in it all day. I do really like it in pictures, though, and I'm looking forward to remixing this sweater-dress.
I've been so madly motivated lately. Cleaning the apartment, doing dishes, making lists, crossing things off, making tasty dinners, feeling festive. I've developed a new routine when I get home from work. I change into my jammies (or some other mega-comfy outfit), blast my favorite podcasts (This American Life, the Moth, or another NPR delight), slowly tick off my day's to-do list, make dinner for Joe and I (tonight: oven-fried pork chops and Brussels sprouts with bacon with a pinot grigio), and do my daily blog reading. It's been positively delightful.
