Toes and Tulle!!!!

Anna came to us looking to order her entire Wedding Ensemble from us and we were so chuffed to be working with such an adventurous bride. Anna opted for a Bonzie Victorian Embroidered Blazer and our Signature Tea Stain Romantic Tulle Skirt. ( A really unique Vintage looking combination!)

I have to admit, I can only imagine how scary it was for Anna to be ordering her made to measure Wedding Gown over the Internet and from a designer based in Ireland ( Anna is based in the US) but one can only say that her bravery paid off and she looks an absolute vision in her finished look!

We hope both Anna and her new Hubby are very happy together!

Stocking Up

Gals,

We have been spending quite a bit of time away from cyberspace ( hence the tumbleweed sweeping through the blog!) and tucked up in our studios in a blast of productivity. We are currently building up stock for an exciting venture about to be revealed and it's important to put as much effort into getting enough products ready in time.

Pictured above is a sample of one of the new range of items that we are busy working on, we have a whole selection of these in various different colour schemes and sizes coming soon. ( Would be an ideal Xmas Gift if you knew any fashion forward buddies who like to stand out from the crowd!)

This particular piece above is on it's way to Waterford Healing Arts Trust to sponsor an upcoming fundraiser for the local Waterford Regional Hospital. More about that event later for those of you who are reading the blog from the local Waterford area. (Promises to be a great fashion filled night of fun!)

What a whirlwind!

Gals, it's been so busy of late that we havn't had a moment to share any of our recent news with you all. So much has been happening with us and we are dying to share it with you all.

Last Friday we collaborated on a shoot with Celeb photographer Lili Forberg and TV3 Stylist Laura Cunningham to shoot with the incredibly stunning and uber cool MTV presenter Laura Whitmore!

We found this shot on Lili's twitter page on Friday showing an up to the minute behind the scenes pic of the shoot on the day with Laura rocking her bonzie tail coat! We are so excited to see the resulting pictures and will be sure to share the pics when they are published. xxx

Client Corner ~ Sarah

Gals,

Every now and again we receive pictures from all over the world by our clients and brides. We utterly gasped when Sarah sent us through her pics of her gorgeous wedding day in Italy. Sarah looks absolutely adorable, a bride straight from the pages of Italian Vogue if you ask me! I adore the vintage styling in Sarah's gown and her hubby looks equally 'dapper' in his tailoring.

Sarah opted for our Carina Long Sleeved Bolero in ivory raw silk to compliment her gown and we think she pulled off the entire look beautifully.

We would like to extend our sincerest gratitude to Sarah for inviting us to be a part of such a special day for her and we hope you guys both enjoy the journey of life together.

Thanks to Sarah for letting us peak into her wedding day celebrations, it always makes our day to receive wedding pics back!!!

Smoking Lily Boutique is off to a really great start, a constant stream of customers have been browsing through Shona's gorgeous boutique to dulcet tones of 40's music. We enjoying creating stock especially for our "bonzie" corner in Smoking Lily. ( Some new Corsetry being added to stock tomorrow gals!)

Wait until you see our latest bride Heathers wedding! Its out of this world gorgeous , the vintage detailing, the atmosphere, the style, the ruffles.........need I go on. Heather and her family and friends hand created a wedding which can only be described as a wedding day like something straight out of the pages of vogue, its utterly stunning.

Heather looked incredible on the day and rocked one of our "Fallen Angel" ruffled boleros with her vintage inspired bridal ensemble.

Heather kept a blog documenting the whole day and the details are absolutely stunning.

Website Update...

Gals,

Last Christmas we bought our first website from an online Web Design Service. We were thrilled with the blog but my technically challenged brain took an absolute age to get accustomed to the workings of the website itself. ( So it went on the long finger!)( for a year!)

Well as we were snowed into our house today I decided it might be a good opportunity to revisit the site and try figure out how to update it properly. I managed to get my head around most of it and I'm happy to say after a solid year ( hangs head in shame) its up to date and full of new bits and bobs.

Sunny Photoshoots!

Hey Gals,

Ger and I held a photoshoot yesterday to add some new stock to the shop. It was a sunny day here in Ireland but very windy, which led to some very intersting windswept shots!

Irish Model, Lucy Fitzgerald worked beautifully for the shoot and leant a really ethereal feel to the overall look with her captivating blue eyes which just sparkled out of each shot. Lucy also happens to be my cousin and a trained dancer too which was a real treat to work with in terms of posing and poise. We had a fun day which involved very glamorous slurry puddles and spritely pheasants frightening the life out of the 3 of us on the barn shots!
