Gals, we have been very busy in the studio stocking up for our upcoming adventure. Coming very close to launch date so we hope to share our news with you all very soon. ;)
The Sept/Oct edition of Belle Armoire Magazine is available to purchase now. If you get your copy check out our Bonzie Tattered Couture Regular Column inside. The issue featuring our textile wearable art pendants.
Guys, thought you might enjoy a wee glimpse into my favourite mannequin in the studio at the moment. Loving the bustle-esque style of this piece at the moment and its distracting my eye all week from my position at the table! lol
On another positive note, our coquette ruffled wrap made an appearance on daytime TV this week on RTE's The Afternoon Show. It was featured on a fantastic fashion segment by Irish Stylist Tanya Grimson and we are busy trying to figure out the "techy" aspect of trimming and Mpeg4 file so that we can share the wee segment with you all.
It was a lovely surprise to see one of our pieces on TV and Ger rang me from her sitting room where she was jumping around like a baboon ( her words!) as a result of seeing our piece on the small screen! ;) I can't imagine what we will be like when the big feature hits RTE this year! yikes!
As promised we have been working on some new stock for the shop and back by popular demand are our upcycled one of a kind layered petticoat skirts. We will be bringing lots of new pieces into the shop over the coming weeks and as the title suggests, these items are very unique and one of a kind so if your coveting one, its
"Quick, Draw.......McGraw" to pick them up. :)
These are such a wearable item, teamed with a slim fit top and chunky jewelry and you have a very edgy individual look that will take you everywhere! We wear a lot of these layered skirts and they always get lots of compliments. I hope you find one that suits you perfectly too.
Its arrived, one of the big secrets that I was holding in for ages until its launch was the arrival of the November/December issue of the incredibly stunning Belle Armoire Magazine. I have joined the team as a columnist for this awesome publication and bring you guys a Bonzie article monthly on the joys of tatter couture in all its deconstructed glory. For those of you who love all things worn, frayed yet beautiful why not bag your own copy here to read the Tatter Couture Article on Corsets.
I was super chuffed to learn that my piece was adorning the front cover of a magazine that I have admired for so long. For those of you who adore creativity, craft, and innovative design, Belle Armoire is a truly special resource of inspiration and stunning pieces to drool over. Here's hoping you like the Bonzie section too you guys. :)
I have been busy lately in the studio with a steady stream of custom orders. The most recent one being this antiquated tattered underbust corset for an awesome client on etsy. My client is planning on rocking this with a pair of ruffled cotton bloomers! What a perfect client, I just love those that dare to be individual in their approach to personal adornment!
More tattered loveliness of the corsage variety, available here!
These corsages would lend very well to bridal and especially if you have bridesmaids! If your looking for a set made in any size or colour let me know, I can custom make these to your specifics. ;)
Ok, so I have just about finished on the first in the series of 'Tatter Neck Adornments'. I have chosen the romantic whimsical muted tones for the first one and here is a preview to my blog readers before the etsy boutique update Tomorrow.
This Cuff was a gift made for the fabulous Di of DesignersBlockUk, its a truly inspirational blog by an inspirational woman! go check it out for sure! it would be one of the ones that I visit often to see whats new and trust me I am never disappointed guys!
Every once in a while I get so busy in the studio on private commissions that I don't get a lot of time to devote to my firstborn (my etsy online boutique! lol) This really begins to bother me after a short while as Ireally feel that the shop gets stagnant and all the wonderful gals who stop by from time to time must be feeling somewhat dissappointed when things don't get shaken up a little. Hence this cream tatter skirt was born.
I decided to step out of the studio deadlines for 1 day and devote my time to creating something new for my etsy shop. This had major theraputic value as it gave me a change from the run of dance costumes that I am currently buried under!! lol It also allowed me to add a change into the etsy shop which was beginning to show mould from sitting unattended for a long while!
Perhaps I could request an extra day in the week to devote purely to new and exciting projects to keep the my etsy presence fresh! ;)
