Hey, everyone, it's the triumphant return of the high-waisted, pleated, tapered pants! And I gotta say, this whole trend is kind of growing on me. I'm a lot happier with this outfit than the last one. It was really comfortable, and even though I was wary of wearing flats with these pants, I think these oxfords actually looked pretty good. And yes, I'm still very much on board the striped train. I don't really expect that train to stop until the end of summer. There's just something so perfectly summery, breezy, and chic about stripes, don't you think?
My summery lunch of a toasted avocado and cheese sandwich, carrot sticks with hummus, and a delicious cold "La fin du monde". Tasty doesn't even come close!
This is a perfect outfit to post today, too. It's been a particularly summery, breezy, and casual day, and I love it. I had a great morning reading through everyone's Mother's Day posts. Honestly, it was so wonderful to see some of your old family photos and hearing your touching thoughts about your moms. I spent the rest of the day reading, soaking up the sun, and eating what was probably the most tasty lunch ever. It was the kind of day when you just realize how unbelievably lucky you are. My life is just going so, sooo well, and I'm so happy with where everything is. I have an incredible apartment, an unbelievable boyfriend, a wonderful, rewarding job, and an amazingly supportive family. I'm really not sure how it could get any better. And this afternoon, sitting in my sun-soaked dining room, reading my Margaret Atwood book and listening to the Amelie soundtrack, I felt so entirely fulfilled and happy. TGI-Sunday...TGI-Weekend...TGI-Spring...TGI-Life!
How was your weekend? What did you have for lunch today? Are you reading any good books? Any tips for new French music for me (I'm kind of loving Coeur de pirate right now, but I'm looking for more!)?
