I am the first to admit that the cuffed jeans look is not ideal for a lady with short legs. It does the unthinkable: stumpify already stumpy appendages! Yet, while I was getting dressed this morning, I kept getting the major urge to cuff, cuff, cuff. Maybe to show off my gladiator sandals which have been in hiding since last summer. Maybe because it more adequately matched the casual nature of my t-shirt layering. Maybe because it made my "go-to" uniform less...well, uniform. Or maybe just because I woke up this morning in an "eff it" kind of mood. So take that, fashion don't! I'm cuffing these jeans!
Now, I know I wore this shirt not that long ago in another interestingly patterned ensemble. But I love the way that it matches with this black printed shirt. (And did I mention that I was in an "eff it" mood?) This black shirt, by the way, was a birthday present from Joe. It is hand-designed and painted by the employees of my favorite coffeeshop in Chicago, only minutes from both home and work. The design, in case you can't see it clearly, is two hands holding a steaming cup of coffee over a silver heart. LOVE. IT. Thanks, Joe!
Now, I've mentioned this a couple of times, but my hair, all curly and nutso, was starting to make me lose my cool. It's impractical for summer heat and humidity, impossible for me to style, and makes me feel all-too-frumpy for a 24-year-old. So...
BAM!!
(I'll have better pictures of it tomorrow, I promise!)
