I've been tagged!
The lovely Mary at Undergradfab and beautiful Kaylyn at Dawley Style tagged me in this Prom Queen meme, and I just had to get in on it! I hadn't looked back on my old prom pictures for years, so it was a blast looking and laughing about that one-of-a-kind dance. So thanks, Mary and Kaylyn, and here we go:
The rules:
~ Upload your prom picture. If you don't have one, email your mom and have her send it to you.
~ Don’t forget to include the year it was taken. Again, don't be shy. The older the better.
~ Grab the "Prom Queen" button and add to your post.
~ Copy and paste the rules to your blog.
~ Tag 5 others!

Dress: two-piece, Dillards circa 2001

2002 Junior Prom
This one is from junior prom, in 2002. My date was my then-boyfriend and now-best friend (just look at that hair!!). This stunning photo was taken in the living room of the house I grew up in.
I loved my dress! It was actually two pieces, and I just loved the iridescence of the skirt. I bought it months before prom at the Dillards in the mall in Cheyenne, Wyoming for somewhere around $20. Score!
I want to point out that I apparently thought that "formal prom attire" meant a black digital watch. Classy.

Dress: ??
Flower: fake, Walmart
Date's outfit:
Green/white plaid leisure suit: Salvation Army, $4
White polyester polo shirt: Walmart
Aviators: Walmart
Shoes: Green Chuck Taylors (same as above)
Where:
2003 Senior Prom
Same date, wearing the same awesome sneakers. I actually had my hair done for senior prom, which remains the only time that I've done that. We were very proud of D's outfit. After renting a tux the year before we wanted to go cheap and with character, and Salvation Army never lets you down. My dress was another super-cheap find. I can't remember for the life of me where I got it, but I know that it was very on sale. It was actually more of a salmon color than it looks like in this picture.

I don't know who to tag to do this, so just participate if you want a blast from the past for yourself! I loved looking at all the old pictures. Plus, thanks to D for scanning them for me (our prom was waayy back before everyone and their goldfish had a digital camera!). Thanks for the tag, ladies!
