Oh, hi! What's that? You couldn't find the super-sweet Rodarte mustard lace cardigan at your local Target? And it was sold out online? That sucks. 'Cause I totally snagged one! My super-awesome shopping karma success story goes a little something like this: I had money left on a Target gift card to spend, and I needed some random toiletries, so I headed out to Target. It was actually the day before the Rodarte collection was going to open, and I really wasn't even planning on checking out the clothes, but the cash registers were right by the Rodarte pre-launch collection. And there. it. was. And now it's mine! Love those happy endings!
I love these pictures. The starkness of the desert against the bright colors and textures of the outfit seem to make everything contrast and pop. Not to mention that they were a blast to take. Joe and I spent some of this day at the botanic gardens. I love botanic gardens, and arboretums (arboreti?) and big city parks with forests and lakes. There's something fantastic about being able to escape the city while still being in it. Spending some vacation time in Arizona was really nice, even with the harder parts. Joe and I haven't had so much time off together for a very long time, and it was delightful to spend a whole 10 days with him, just soaking up each others company.
