Work
I managed to take my photos during my lunch hour today. I've been getting a little bit (read: a lot) sick of the nighttime photos I've had to take lately. I don't finish with work until after the sun sets, and I typically don't give myself extra time in the mornings to take my pictures, so the dark shots are all I've had lately. But I made a point to bring my camera today so that I could take pictures during my lunchtime walk. It was sunny and beautiful, and I had a fun snowy photoshoot.
Because of the harshness of the winter sun, however, the lighting in some of these is a bit intense. Please forgive the pathetic contrast in these photos; they're the best shots I got. I'm hoping to be able to invest in Photoshop pretty soon. Right now I use iPhoto, and sometimes do some more detailed corrections in Picnik, but I haven't had the funds to get Photoshop until now. As a staff member, I get a substantial discount on certain software programs (even for personal use, which is awesome), so I'm hoping to be able to get Photoshop in the next few weeks. But I wanted to ask some of you first; what photo-editing software do you use? Do you have any great tips for a Photoshop newbie? What's your fave editing feature?
