Work
Work has been going really well so far, but it's also incredibly exhausting. This is by far the most interesting, challenging, stimulating job I've had, which is fabulous, but it also means that by Friday I'm going to be absolutely drained. I've really jumped in to my responsibilities, and it feels good to already have the trust and encouragement of my coworkers. I have my own office for the first time, and it's been so much fun to start putting stuff on the walls, filling my bookshelf, and settling in.
My wonderful mom gave me this dress for Christmas. I haven't gone shopping for months, and I honestly haven't thought of anything that I wanted, but I clearly didn't know about this dress. I have few if any patterned dresses, none with this color palette, and none with this amazing cowl-neck detail. This baby clearly fills a wardrobe gap. I just didn't know it yet. It's also lightweight enough that it can be worn in warmer months, but sturdy enough to be layered. I love it like this, with brown-hued tights and accessories. The only problem is that getting this dress has started my wheels turning about what other wardrobe gaps I'd like to fill. I've been mostly pondering thicker, possibly wool, dresses and jumpers to wear to work in winter, as well as funky vintage sweaters.
