The Wind's Howlin'

Casual weekend
Sweater: thrifted * Skinny cargo pants: Old Navy, remixed * Snowboots: thrifted

It's snowing today. Like, snowing. Like, stay-inside-all-day-and-drink-tea-and-cocoa snowing. Which is kind of, if not entirely, awesome. I've got my cozy sweater, my tall socks, and a clean, quiet apartment in which I plan to spend my day. I'm going to knit, watch the final season of Lost, read Ulysses (I'm working so hard, you guys!), and eat leftover Korean jap chae. Then I might take a nap. Crazy plans, I tell ya.

Snowboots!

Going into my fourth winter in Chicago, I realized that I really ought to get a pair of proper snowboots. I was entirely unwilling to drop more than $20 on a pair of boots, so I was thrilled when I came across these lovely fleece-lined waterproof puppies at Unique a couple of weeks ago. Perfect for a snowy weekend. Though the only use I'll get out of them today is for my quick jaunt to the store this morning for coffee. I'm all about staying inside for the day, but let's face it, I have priorities.
