It brings me great sadness to speak about the recent loss of a truely inspiring and utterly brilliant idol of ours, UK Designer, Alexander McQueen. Known in the fashion world as the "enfant terrible" for his rebel approach to fashion and his personal ability to push the boat out with each and every collection. McQueen sadly passed away this week under tragic circumstances and the world has lost a genuine creative genuis.
I would have especially admired McQueen as he was a real "rags to riches" story, from a very normal family and discovered by style icon Isabella Blow who tragically suffered a similar fate not so long ago. He worked hard to establish his brilliance in a world typically dominated by a more priveleged class and quickly became one of the most covetable iconic labels worldwide. McQueens loss is undescribable in the industry and no doubt unimaginable to his family and friends. We would like to extend our sincerest thoughts to his loved ones at a very difficult time.
A truely tragic loss. Rest in Peace.
