Black tank: H&M * Cardigan: kensie * Slacks: Michael Kors, remixed * T-straps: Clarks, remixed * Necklace: made by Joe, remixed
So, funny story, that made me kind of unsure about this outfit: one of my staff members came up to me today and told me that my cardigan was "sooo beautiful!" A second staff member let me know that she thought that my cardi "was really made for someone a lot bigger". She followed up with: "I mean, I know it's supposed to look weird, but I think it's supposed to look weird on someone bigger." Lovely, huh? Yeah, so I'm not really sure what to make of that, but I like it. I should have taken a picture with this cardi stretched out all the way; it's a bit of a crazy Octomom look. Annnyywaaay, it was a bizarre series of comments, and I ended up not really knowing what to think. I adore the color of the cardi, and I kind of love its crazy hugeness, so I think I'm going to strategically ignore the weird comment.
Another reason I love this cardi is the way that it matches this absolutely gorgeous necklace that Joe made for me. I showed you the zipper necklace he made me a few weeks ago, but this one is new. I totally love this one. He made each individual bead, from pages of magazines, and made the long copper beads from wire that he scavenged from the motor of an abandoned humidifier. I love the colors and the shape, and I really love that it's a perfect example of that sustainable fashion I was talking about yesterday. Thanks, Joe! You are pretty much the. best.
In completely unrelated news, I'm watching Season 2 of Arrested Development and laughing my ass off..."I just blue myself"..."I had pop-pop in the attic"...the Charlie Brown episode..."I have to get into that Poof"..."It's as Anne as the nose on plain's face"...Gob's magic song..."I was once voted the worst audience participant Cirque de Soleil ever had"..."Where am I? Am I in two-thirds of a hospital room?"..."I've made a huge mistake"...
Any other Arrested Development fans out there?
