Work...then work. Followed by work.
Not much happened today other than work. It was a very long day, but I felt colorful, cute, classy, and comfortable (the most important of the previous Cs is comfortable, of course!). I've worn this dress a few times before, but never layered before, and definitely not layered over two other shirts. But I've been mega-inspired by the lovely intellectual fashionistas over at academichic. They have definitely each mastered the art of layering. So when I woke up this morning to a few inches of snow on the ground, I was ready with my layers!
This is probably (hopefully?) the last really wintry outfit I'll be wearing this season, so I decided to revel in it and added my coziest tights and comfiest boots. This color combo was definitely something I've never tried before, but those ingenious gals at academichic (gosh, this blog is turning into a fansite for them!) suggested the split complimentary idea, and I thought "what the heck!" I liked the result right away, and after I added the necklace I was sold! Let me know what you think; is it too much clashing or does it work?
