Where: downtown Chi-town for lunch and book shopping, then back home to make/have dinner and movies with Joe and friends. Loving the used independent bookstores! Hooray!
My neck is slowly but surely recuperating, so we took advantage of this unexpectedly sunny day to take a walk around downtown. I am quickly falling in love with these shoes. They have already proved their versatility and comfort, and I've only had them a week!
I'm also digging this sarong scarf. I got it years ago on a trip to Mexico and it's been spending its winters in a box under my bed with my summer stuff and bathing suits. Finally, this year, in a mad search for a new scarf, I dug it up and voila! And I love how it matches so nicely with this outfit.
These colors seem warm and springy to me, and I just feel comfortable and cheery in this ensemble. This is sort of my take on the split complementary idea from academichic, but I'm only really incorporating 2/3 of the colors, so it probably doesn't count. Only downfall? I hate wearing jeans the day after they are washed...so tight!
