I had more planned for my outfit originally, but I got an early morning call from a friend in need and had to gather myself more quickly than planned. This is a perfect outfit for me though, as I'm truly a jeans and t-shirt gal at heart. Plus, for a day of sitting on my friend's couch with lattes and hugs, I really didn't need anything more flashy than this.
I've been excitedly reading the posts at Academichic this week, since they're dealing with proportions. I'll mention here that I have a dual-proportionality problem: short legs and a short torso. Which means, essentially, that I can't really "borrow" length from my top or bottom to lengthen the other. So it's really crucial that I pick clothing that compliments the right angles and curves while downplaying the "wrong" ones. This outfit, ironically, does not acheive this goal, since bootcut jeans and sneakers stumpify my legs. The long polo shirt, however, keeps my torso from looking too tiny. Any and all ideas are welcome!
