Where:

Work, home for lunch and board games, followed by dinner downtown (date night!)

Today turned into a very full day. It was initially just work, hence outfit #1. Then I decided to take a half-day and came home to enjoy grilled cheese sandwiches, hot tea, and Monopoly with Joe. Then, in commemoration of tax day, we decided to preemptively spend our tax refunds on a fancy dinner out downtown (outfit #2). It was incredibly delicious, and despite being very expensive, it was totally worth it. One of those dinners that makes your mouth water, even after you've finished it and are incredibly full. Ahhh...

The outfit I wore to dinner was basically just a major remix of what I wore to work. Same pants, obviously, but I wanted something more interesting for the shirt. This is actually a pleated silk skirt that I never wear because it's a weird length. So I pulled it way up and belted it with a ribbon. Turned into a great date-night blouse! What about you all: any great DIY ideas to add dimension to your wardrobe?
