Where:
To the beach for the first time this season, as well as a long walk, a trip to the grocery store, and home to apply for jobs.
So it wasn't really the first day of beach season, since we were still wearing coats and sweaters. But I think it counts because I stuck my toes in the water. Briefly.
This outfit is weird for a couple of reasons. First is the skirt. This is actually a below-the-knee skirt that I never wear because it turns my legs into tiny stumps. So for this outfit I am wearing the waist of the skirt really high on my torso to create this fuller, shorter skirt effect. Result: I love it! I should really getting around to hemming it, though.
The second reason this outfit is weird is because of the leggings/boots combo. In theory, I think this is adorable, and I put outfits like this one together because of that. However, I seem to forget that I have short-short legs, which disappear with the slightest nudge. So while I love this outfit for elongating my short-short torso, I curse it for shortening my stumps.
