Work, in my office all morning and in meetings and interviews all afternoon.

So Monday was really nothing to talk about. I'm happy with my outfit, but this is mostly because of the new shoes I'm rocking. Joe thinks they look like picnic shoes. I'm not sure what kind of picnic would require 4 inch heels, but who am I to argue? In any case, I think they're adorable and are definitely helping me welcome in the Spring and Summer months.

Since my daily stuff just won't fill this post on its own, it's lucky that I just got tagged by the feminist fashionistas at Academichic to fill out the "7 things" meme. Not one to shirk my duties, here goes:

1. On the ring finger of my right hand I wear a ring with a map of Chile engraved on it. I have worn it there everyday since I lived there in 2005.

2. I hate almost all stand-up comedians, but I think that Eddie Izzard must be Great Britain's greatest gift to the world, next to endearing accents.

3. I am an avid people-watcher, to the point that I unabashedly stare at people and make them uncomfortable. I usually look away eventually, but then glance back periodically.

4. I save the best of everything for last. Everything. I eat my favorite food last in a meal, read what I think will be the best books last, drink my favorite kinds of beer last, wear my favorite clothes last in the laundry cycle. It's like getting the bad stuff out of the way first.

5. If I had an X-Men mutation, I would have the ability to grow and cut my hair at will. Pixie cut one day, Farrah Fawcett the next.

6. My favorite holiday is my birthday. Because I get presents. I'm not even going to beat around the bush with that one.

7. I'm in the midst of a major love affair with Chicago, and my apartment specifically, but my wanderlust knows no bounds. I constantly have at least 3 or 4 major world trips being planned at any one time (very few of them are actualized).
