Pretty Ballerina (aka DAY OFF!!)
Outfit details:
Pink long sleeve T: Old Navy
Purple/blue/silver scarf: market in Valparaiso, Chile
Boot-cut jeans: Old Navy
Suede mocs: Kmart (again, hooray!)
Where:
Delicious breakfast, trip downtown to buy new computer for Joe, home for movies and stew
I seem to have slept funny last night, and I awoke this morning with some pretty nasty shooting pains up and down the right side of my neck. So despite our fun outings, today was mostly about resting and recuperating. Hot green tea, pepian stew (Mexican stew with meat, potatoes, squash, green beans, and spices) and Planet Earth DVDs all helped tremendously.
Despite the jeans and new moccasins (online Kmart, along with these and these), I feel a bit like a ballerina today. It's probably the pink and purple, which I don't usually wear together because it screams "girl" just a bit too much for my tastes. My hair is also pulled back in a low ponytail, so I feel like tiptoeing around the apartment doing pirouettes. Alas, my neck is not allowing for that kind of movement. Plus, I'm a lousy dancer.
It's April Fool's Day today, a day that I don't normally celebrate but wish I did. So today I decided to make the most of it. It helps to have a roommate. I filled Joe's deodorant with gumballs (a new kind of "roll-on"), put cellophane over the shampoo squirter so it wouldn't squirt, sewed all his underwear together, and rigged the kitchen sink so it would spray him in the face everytime he turned on the water. Reactions: priceless. Punishment: doghouse.
