It's a monochromatic kind of day I guess. I'm just rocking all of the shades of blue. I was skeptical at first, but I think I like it after all. Plus, it was a really fun experiment in pattern mixing, which I hardly ever do. It's hard to tell from the pictures, but the white spots on the undershirt is actually a little apple motif, which is interesting when combined with the sailor-inspired stripes of the cardigan.

It was a beautiful day in Chicago on Friday, so Joe and I took full advantage of the sun and warmth and embarked on a day of adventure. The first stop was Chinatown for pastries and coffee, followed by basking in the sun in Lincoln Park. Our last stop before heading home was the zoo, where we diligently people-watched while soaking up some rays.

We watched My Fair Lady at night, which I will always love dearly. I spent many evenings watching it with my grandma when I was a little girl, and who doesn't adore Audrey Hepburn? She is, of course, such an icon of style and beauty. However, I found it hilarious that of all the wonderful costumes in the film, the one I most lusted after was the comfy-cozy cardigan that Rex Harrison/Henry Higgins is wearing in his study. Delightful!
