It cooled off again a bit today and we happily turned off the air conditioner in the apartment. As much as I've been dying for summer to come, I'm mega-broke, so I need to conserve my energy bill as much as possible. And A/C isn't exactly free.
My new office is decidedly not jeans-friendly, so I've been working hard to expand my existing wardrobe into business-casual territory. It isn't so much that I don't have stuff to work with, but I'm just not familiar with the idea of dressing up for work. So doing it everyday has been a bit of a challenge, but one that I'm sure I'm up for!!!
I totally loved today's outfit, because it was so comfortable and classically "me". Comfortable fabrics, satisfying color combos, billowy silhouettes; all these things fit into my personal style description. I don't often put together outfits like this because I feel like I'm not putting enough effort into the outfit, but I'm glad I did today. I felt stylish and beautiful all day.
In other news, I'm exhausted. Starting a new job takes a lot out of you. I'm so ready for bed.
