Work, training, home, out to dinner on M.'s last night, bubble-blowing and firefly-watching
My sister is leaving tomorrow. :( It has been so fun to have her here. We did so much that I don't normally do just living here. Her last night was tonight and we spent it just perfectly; eating delicious middle eastern food (with lots of leftovers!), blowing bubbles at the park as the sun set over the Chicago skyline, and chasing fireflies as we walked home in the dark. It almost made me forget about work, and my arm, and my growing pile of laundry and bills.
My outfit today was one of those outfits that just comes together effortlessly. I spent almost no conscious energy on putting it together, but somehow a plan formed and I put this on this morning. And I love it! I felt so light and summery and casual. And the more I wear this skirt, the more I adore it. It has a wide elastic waistband, which makes it about as comfortable as my favorite pajamas, and the colors are just so rich and interesting. And since my work is pretty casual, I can definitely get away with this kind of cute, casual outfit, which is a major plus on a Monday. Is my fashion slump over??
These flats are second in a recent package I ordered from GoJane.com. For the price of the shoes on their site (read: very low), I expected a bit less style and certainly less comfort when they arrived in person. Much to my happy surprise, however, both pairs held up surprisingly well in days of extensive walking and standing. Plus, how cute are they? I want a pair in every color!!
