I spent much of the day today at home practicing some typing and getting some much needed work done. I'm getting faster all the time, and I'm so happy to be able to type with both hands again. I love writing (both freehand, in idea books and my daily planner, as well as typing, either here on the blog or on my own projects) and one of the hardest things about my wrist has been that I just couldn't do it. And what little writing I could manage with my left hand was so painfully slow that I couldn't take any real pleasure out of it. So I'm thrilled to have that use back. Unfortunately for you, that might mean longer posts for awhile while I bask in the glory of the written word, but I'll try to keep them interesting, I promise!

Today's outfit was partially inspired by Weardrobe's contest this week, Summer Layers, and partially by the fact that the weather in Chicago has once again dipped drastically below average. It has been under 70 for the past two days; cold and breezy and drizzly. Seriously, Chicago? It's late July! Gimme some sunshine!!!! So while I was getting dressed this morning I just kept on piling layer upon layer until I was warm. I was stubborn with my lower half, however, and in an effort to make it feel like summer I refused to budge from the miniskirt and sandals. I rather like the result...
